Fontinalis antipyretica 'Willow moss'
plants and garden
Willow moss is an excellent UK native oxygenating plant which, similar to hornwort, naturally has no root system and floats freely in the water.
Preferring cooler water, this evergreen provides excellent cover for pond wildlife, especially newts and dragon fly larvae, and often provides service to spawning wildlife as eggs latch easily to the small, scale-like leaves. Also grows well in moving water.
